About Lisa Shalvey

Lisa has always been an artist in every medium she could get her hands on. Whether it was film, music, baking or painting, it captured her imagination. Lisa's career began when she received her degree in film and tv from the sunny beaches of UNC Wilmington. 

After a career in the television industry, she shifted gears to give back to her community. Working at her former middle school, Lisa taught computer science and coached the girls basketball team. Igniting passion in her students and players, she encouraged them to follow their dreams. She quickly realized, she couldn't tell them to follow their dreams without pursuing her own. 

Once Lisa opened her eyes to the 15 murals she had painted in her apartment, the decision was clear. Painting and specifically murals were calling her into her next artistic adventure. Five years and dozens of pieces later, Lisa continues to create vibrant dynamic works all over the Carolinas.
